Charity

I love collaborating with progressive organisations tackling the biggest problems we are facing. I am particularly interested in climate change, social progress, mental health, and scientific research.

10:10 - Solar Powered Village

We focussed on maximising the charities' resources by building in stunning photographs and gifs from the film shoot, that can be re-used on social media and their website.

Climate change charity 10:10 asked me to develop a concept for a film about Balcombe - the 'Fracking village' who went solar. I came up with the idea of telling the story through light painting. Collaborating with talented light artist and photographer, Sola. The video has engaged a wide audience, been screened at Glastonbury, and was even featured on viral video site Upworthy. It has been viewed online over 200,000 times and was credited with contributing to increased funding for the project.

Veggie Hacks

I wanted to make a cool short film showing that vegetarianism isn't boring, and 10:10 were looking for some films about cutting carbon footprint so we produced this short Facebook-friendly piece about ace veggie hacks for a delicious dinner The tastiest film shoot I've done yet.

NCVO

I was asked to work on a film with NCVO to encourage care homes to work with volunteers. It was a quick turnaround project, and we didn't have a lot of budget to play with, but the characters involved were great and it was a real privilege to hang out with the volunteers and the residents of a great care home in Oldham.
